Yep, 8yrs ago today JMK entered our lives and changed everything... for ever... for the... better of course!

She really is growing up so quickly and becoming quite the little miss, but I suppose that's just karma coming back to bite me on the bum!

What better way to start the day than with a little bit of silliness before school...

A birthday 'selfie'

It actually worked out well because I was on 'Parent Helper' duty for JMK's birthday too.  I got to see her class mates give her the birthday blessing which was very cute, and help in the class room for the morning.

Then it was off to find a birthday cake for that evening, just a little one because we'd already had one on Sunday and we would be having another one next Sunday!!

When JMK got home she was ever so patient waiting for Rob so that we could go out for birthday pizza.  JMK did ask for a pasta bake for her birthday dinner but then when we suggested going out she jumped at that opportunity!

Once we got home it was time for opening presents, she had been sooooo patient!

She did pretty well in the present department.  A new coat,  two new woolly jumpers, a pair of watermelon skinny leg jeans and earrings from Mummy & Daddy.  Then from CJK she got a Travel Journal exactly like the one she gave to her friend a couple of weeks ago.  JMK was pining for the Travel Journal so she could take it to the USA... she was very happy with this one!

It was a pretty chilled birthday but I'm pretty sure JMK had a lovely time.  She really has given us so much joy in the last 8yrs, don't get me wrong, she can drive us nuts too... but... she's our baby girl and always will be.
