Bendigo Discovery Centre

With JMK at Nana's for a week (school holidays remember) it's left CJK and I a little time up our sleeves to do some stuff together.  So, today we were up nice and early so we could catch the train to Bendigo.

It was a little on the chilly side this morning but you've gotta be tough if you live in Gisborne!  We met some friends at the train station... only 13 little friends... you can imagine the faces of the passengers as we all boarded the train... priceless!!  In saying that, all the kids were very well behaved.

We arrived in Bendigo an hour later and the Bendigo Discovery Centre is just across the road from the train station... perfect!

Now, the Bendigo Discovery Centre isn't what you might think.  I bet you're thinking panning for gold  and ye olde days aren't you?  Well you'd be well and truly wrong.  The Bendigo Discovery Centre is like a mini Scienceworks... it has a multitude of things for the kids to do, touch, throw, poke and prod... it's AWESOME!!  All science related if you get my drift!

Here's CJK having some great fun with the stuff at the Discovery Centre...

I couldn't watch this one for too long!

THIS was freaky!!!

The next Einstein!!

AHAR me hearties!
The kids had a really great time but after about 3hrs we were all getting pretty hungry so we headed out to get some lunch!

After lunch we went back to the Discovery Centre for a little while and then caught our train home.  All in all a successful and fun filled day for everyone.
