So... Jorja was called up from the Boost Team to fill in for one of the rep girls who was unable to attend the tournament in Hoppers Crossing today.
A very early start... 7am on a Sunday morning to meet the bus and then head over the HC for the first game at 8.30am.
WOW... Jorja did so well, and really excelled down the attacking end of the court. The vast majority of her time was spent in GA or GS. There was a stint in WA but her height was a real advantage under the ring. Out of the 5 games played Jorja was only off for one half... pretty good for the fill in!!
On top of that my poor lil poss had to play with quite a swollen thumb... thanks to the wasp sting she received at netball yesterday. Given the heat and the fact she was running around it really did swell up and get quite tight and uncomfortable. She said it wasn't painful just annoying!
The first game the girls had some jitters so they went down by 2, not bad for the first game. The second game was better with the girls getting their stuff together and winning by three. The third and fourth games were lost by minimal amounts and the last game was won by 4 goals... not a bad effort at all.
I was so impressed and really proud of my girl, she listened to the coach and played really well. The weather was warm and by the last game the girls were tired but they really did play well for the whole tournament.
