Happy New Year!!

We were lucky enough to spend New Years Eve with some wonderful wonderful friends... two lots of Williams'.

We headed to Brad & Karla's farm in Tyaak with Sarah and Ash to spend a very hot & humid 39 degree New Year Eve!  Hence why the girls got straight into their bathers and ripped open a bag of Bunch o' Balloons for some watery fun!!

The boys on the other hand decided to get some different gear on... motorbike gear, brave the heat and head off on a ride around the farm... ~CRAZY~

Once it cooled down a little, we thought we'd be adventurous and hike up the hill at the back of the barn.  OMG... it was very very very steep!!  We made it though and watched a beautiful sunset.  As the sun was setting we also raised our drinks and toasted dear old Great Nan, who passed away on New Years Eve at the ripe old age of 99 and a half.  RIP Nan xx

Rat bag kids!!

On News Years day it wasn't quite as hot, a top temp of about 33 so we decided to head out and feed the gorgeous alpacas.  They're really inquisitive and tend to mill around the little people, it's there nurturing & protective instinct... quite cute really.

Again, the boys decided to ride their bikes but we met them at the yabby dam after feeding the alpacas.  There were plenty of yabbies biting!!

It was such a great weekend, even with it being so hot!  The kids had a ball and really loved the farm life.  Our hosts/friends Brad, Karla, Zed, Sassy & Jet were wonderful and we can't wait to join them at the farm again.  Of course Ash, Sarah, Ed & Lily were wonderful too... we always have such a great time with them and enjoy creating lasting memories with them.

We headed home on Saturday... it didn't take long for these two to start pushing out the Z's on the way home!

Exhausted!!
