After our huge Christmas the kidlets went off to spend time with their Nana's and Poppy's while the rest of us (Viv, Jeff, Gill, Ray, Rob and I) headed to the Yarra Valley. But... this blog is about the kids so we won't venture into the Yarra Valley, we'll pick it up when we all came back together and had a day at Portsea & Sorrento!!
Poppy, Uncle Phil & Auntie Vera caught the ferry over to meet us at the Sorrento Hotel for lunch. When in Sorrento one MUST go to Mubble for ice cream!!

After our yummy lunch and ice cream we headed over to the Portsea Barracks. It was amazing!! Uncle Phil and Auntie Vera use to work there back in the 70's when they lived in Portsea. Uncle Phil was an awesome tour guide and gave us a run down of the whole area.

After our personalised tour of the barracks Poppy, Auntie Vera & Uncle Phil headed back to the ferry to go home. That's when we hit the Portsea Beach!!
It was a long hot day so we finished it off with a bevvy on the lawn at the Portsea Pub!
It was a gorgeous day and I'm pretty sure Viv loved showing off her home town to Jeff & Lauren.
