Our trip to BrisVegas... 22-27 January 2009

A holiday we'll NEVER forget for so many reasons!! Most importantly we headed north for this little poppet's 1st Birthday and Naming Day... which I might add I am the very proud Godmother! Oh and of course to see Auntie Kirsty and Uncle Harro!!

But the other reasons it will never be forgotten is because not much went right... my flight got cancelled on the way up, the humidity was the worst most Brisbanites could recall, Auntie Kirsty got really sick with gastro, it rained the morning of the party so it had to be moved only to have the sun beam down on us for the rest of the day, Rob came a gutser on Auntie Kirsty's stairs and split his eye open and then Auntie Kirsty ended up infecting most of her guests with gastro. You can only laugh about it... NOW!

Apart from ALL that it was wonderful seeing Auntie Kirsty, Uncle Harro and beautiful baby Chloe... she has grown up so much since we last saw her and I expect she'll be walking the next time we see her... time just flies.

After arriving late on Thursday night it was great to be able to spend the day with Auntie Kirsty and Chloe. We went to the park in Ballimba where the kids had a great time.

They really got on well and we're thinking there's a bit of luuuurve going on between Coops and Chloe. If they weren't cuddling or kissing they were making luuurve eyes at each other.... so cute!
Auntie Kirsty's blow up swimming pool was a hit and got a fair bit of use by the kidlets... it was nice to be able to cool down.
The naming day ceremony was lovely and the day did end up being quite a success, there was fairy bread afterall so you couldn't really go wrong!
Chloe Marie's birthday was on the Tuesday and we were lucky enough to still be there to help her celebrate. How lovely it was to see her put her fingers into her ice cream cake and "blow out" her candle.
After that Jorja and Daddy headed to the airport but Auntie Kirsty, Chloe, Coops and I headed to Southbank for a birthday swim.
It's always hard saying "see ya later" to Auntie Kirsty but there's always the next catch up to look forward to!
Thanks for having us Auntie Kirsty and letting us share in your beautiful little girls special day/s! ~xx~

I really don't think you have anything to complain about...seems like a normal trip with kids! Just kidding. Hope you are feeling better and that Rob has sought some legal advice!
