Santa Clause Is Coming To Town!

We made our annual trek into the city today to visit Santa and the Myer Windows, which if you haven't guessed by now is using the theme "Santa Clause is coming to Town".

It was an early start!  Out the door by 8am so we could catch a tram into the city.  The kids had a choice of car, train or tram... and tram won!

Before you start having a go about JMK being out of school she actually had a curriculum day which works out perfectly... except that every other Catholic Primary school seemed to have a curriculum day today too... it was very busy to say the least.

We queued up with every other Mother, Father and child to have a photo taken with Santa... JMK & CJK were quite excited!!

 JMK got a little shy with Santa and only managed to tell him that she wanted a Barbie Camper van but CJK let rip with a guitar, a drum kit, a monster truck and a Buzz Lightyear!

From Santa we headed straight to the train which the kids always love.  I don't think JMK will be able to go on it next year, she's just getting too big!!

After the train ride we headed off for a spot of morning tea - silly Mummy forgot to bring drinks for the kidlets - because the kids were sooooooo thirsty!

After morning tea we headed back to the windows to check out the bright colours, music and wonderfully Christmassy theme.  I still have Santa Clause is coming to town... stuck in my head!

The kids had a great time, there were only a few instances where our listening ears weren't working, but given how big a day it was and how busy the city was they were both extremely well behaved.

I hope... well I'm pretty sure they enjoyed it just as much as I did!
