Sydney Trip... Sunday 28th May to Tuesday 30th May

Sunday 28th May

Another good sleep by JMK, we were up relatively early so we could get to Fox Studios by 10am to meet the Sydney chicks from Essential Baby. We rocked up to the meeting spot, Gloria Jeans, only to find no one there! I actually asked a stranger if she was from the group, after she looked at me strangely I told her not to worry about it and walked away a little embarrassed! I then got a phone call saying they were at Lollipops (kids play centre) around the corner and to head on over. We got there and noticed the cost of entry… OHMIGAWD… adults had to pay to get in (that’s not how it works in Melbourne!!) so Daddy & Auntie Kirsty went to check out the market. $17 later… OHMIGAWD… Jorja and I got in and caught up with the Sydney chicks and their bubs! It was great to finally put faces to names… very peeved with myself for leaving the camera behind!!

From there it was home for a nap and then get ready for the drive out to Sherro & Walshy’s for dinner… with the now rather famous Apple Crumble!! It was lovely to see Sherro & Walshy and JMK didn’t trash their lovely new home too much, so I think we might be up for an invite back… here’s hoping anyway!

Monday 29th May

A slight sleep in for JMK, we didn’t even hear Auntie Kirsty get ready for work. We decided to brave the Sydney transport system and catch a bus into the city to meet Auntie Kirsty for lunch. JMK loved the bus and pointed out every one that went past us with a shriek of excitement.

A quick bite to eat and then home again for JMK’s afternoon nap. While she was sleeping we prepped dinner for the evening… corned beef… yummo!

Auntie Kirsty arrived home and quickly got changed into her Touch Footy gear for her team’s grand final. We all rugged up and headed to the field only to watch Auntie Kirsty’s team get totally pumped… not that she seemed to mind… after all, there was corned beef to go home to!

Tuesday 30th May

The drive home… not as much fun as the drive up! JMK was a little bit of a handful, fought going to sleep and was pretty much a grump the whole way home! The new ‘road trip’ toys were no longer NEW so didn’t keep her occupied for as long this time around. However, Monsters Inc (thanks Baxter & Georgia) on Mummy’s laptop did the trick and we all got home in one piece and without dropping grumpy JMK off on the side of the road somewhere between Sydney and Gisborne… good going I’d say!

New words from the trip… BUS & and a very distinctive YES!
